This small building was designed to fit into the historic style of downtown Juneau. Rents include utilities (heating and electricity) and range from $400 to $968, depending on the size of the apartment and whether it's intended for very-low-income residents or low-income residents. There is one accessible efficiency apartment. Laundry facilities are available on the premises and there is a free phone for local calls.
The Hillview Apartments on Douglas Highway are with in walking distance of Gastineau Elementary School and the Douglas Public Library. Built in 1996, this 15-unit building includes six efficiencies, five one-bedroom apartments and three two-bedroom apartments. Stairstepped up the hill, the apartments are designed to cut down on noise from neighbors and to offer a view. Rents include utilities (heating and electricity) and are between $500 and $806, depending on apartment size. There are three accessible apartments. There are laundry facilities on the premises.
